Traumschleifchen Sonnenrunde

Traumschleifchen are premium walking trails, circular routes with short distances and little elevation gain

The 4.5 km long trail leads from the tourist information office at the reservoir through a gently rolling landscape with only minimal inclines. Most of it leads through open meadow landscapes with beautiful views. This is why the trail has been named the "sun circuit".

From the tourist information office, cross the road in the direction of Scheiden. The path then leads to the right through a meadow landscape in a stream valley. At the end of the valley, turn left into another stream valley. After 500 m, the path climbs slightly and then turns right over a hill with an unobstructed view. We continue along forest paths until we reach a forest road which we follow to the left. The last 500 m lead parallel to the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig via an atmospheric path back to the tourist information office.
