If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it on the path from Hausbach via Britten and back to Hausbach. The gentle rustling of the wind in the treetops and the quiet babbling of the idyllic streams sound like music to the ears. Beautiful viewpoints and bizarre rock formations complete a hiking trail of tranquillity and seclusion. The Jacobs farm offers a milk bar and a vending machine with farm produce.

First, the hiking trail leads downhill to the Seffersbach stream flowing in the valley, which flows into the Saar in Merzig. Wonderful views over pastureland and old orchards soon follow and you get the impression of walking through a tunnel as the path passes under branches of elderberry bushes and hazelnut trees.Two old boundary stones stand at the edge of the path. A little later, the trail follows a narrow path through a second leaf tunnel before the branches open up to reveal a wonderful view of the meadow slopes.

The babbling Bornwiesbach stream seems to seek its way in countless twists and turns. After Britten, things become wildly romantic. In the nearby forest, you climb up along a crystal-clear stream. Only the loud splashing of the water can be heard.At Schönertskopf, the highest point of the hike, there are two benches for the senses to enjoy the fantastic view over the wooded, gentle mountain ranges. As the afternoon sun filters through the dense foliage during the descent, an imposing sandstone wall enchants you with its impressive play of shadows. The trail then leaves the forest and an idyllic meadow valley opens up. Immediately at the edge of the forest, the path continues down the valley over a soft carpet of meadows towards Hausbach.

The Jacobs farm offers a milk bar and a vending machine with farm produce.
