With a length of 10 km, the Frohn-Wald-Weg is a half-day tour close to the city, which leads along narrow paths and earthy trails through the north-western Saar coal forest.
Impressive forest scenery with large and old trees, numerous streams and fountains as well as the small gorge of the Rödelbach characterize the trail.
After the hike, you can take a detour to the nearby state capital of Saarbrücken. The Frohn-Wald-Weg can be easily reached from Saarbrücken by Saarbahn train!
