Half-day cycle tour of approx. 35 km from the Bexbach flower garden through the northern Saarpfalz district. This almost completely flat cycle tour is characterized by the contrasting landscapes of the idyllic Blies floodplains near Beeden, the district town of Homburg and the forests near Jägersburg. The cycle tour is suitable for active cyclists as well as families or older people with experienced legs.

The mostly flat routes from Bexbach via Beeden and Homburg on to Jägersburg and back to Bexbach are characteristic of this half-day cycle tour. Please note, however, that the route is not signposted with a logo. We recommend that you read the tour description carefully and follow the GPX track of the tour on your device. The tour starts at the Bexbach glider airfield and follows a pleasant embankment path towards Limbach. After cycling a short distance through the village, you reach the Blies again and follow it to the Beeder Biotope. Here you can watch storks and Heck cattle from the platform. You can stop for refreshments at the Fischerhütte in Beeden (please check the website for opening times) before continuing along the asphalt cycle path towards Schwarzenbach and Homburg. In the old town of Homburg, attractive squares with fountains, cozy pubs, cafés and excellent restaurants make strolling and lingering a pleasure. Continue through pleasant forests near Sanddorf and Bruchhof to the Jägersburger Weihern, where you can also stop off at various establishments. A minigolf course, a climbing park and pedal boat hire also invite you to linger. The last stage leads past Kleinottweiler and ends back at the Bexbach Flower Garden. The famous Saarland Mining Museum with its 40-metre-high Hindenburg Tower is well worth a visit here. The flower garden is freely accessible and invites you to relax.</p
