About the ladder to heaven to the Blankenhorn castle ruins - hiking between heaven and earth in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park.

This "heavenly" hike starts at the sports facilities in Güglingen-Eibensbach. The highlight of the hiking trail is the Blankenhorn castle ruins. The sky ladder is the shortest ascent to this well-known cultural monument. There are 178 steps to climb the 45 meters to the historical remains of the Staufer dynasty. The castle ruins are accessible all year round.

On reaching the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the surrounding area. An information board in the castle courtyard tells the story of Blankenhorn, while a public barbecue area invites you to take a break.

At the old sports field in Eibensbach, you will come across another highlight of the hiking tour: almost all of the tree species found in the northern Stromberg are described along the educational forest trail that begins there.</p
