On this short cycle tour, there is enough time to explore the Heuneburg - Pyrene town and enjoy the fantastic view from Heuneburg over Upper Swabia. The Celtic Museum in Hundersingen is also a stop on this cycle tour. The renaturalized bank of the Danube between Hundersingen and Binzwangen is a nature reserve. Here, the Danube runs again in its original form with many sand and gravel beds. The Danube was the trading river for the Celts.

Tour description

You start this cycle tour directly at the Heuneburg parking lot and turn left onto the district road to Hundersingen. There, follow the signs to the Heuneburg Museum. At the Heuneburg Celtic Museum, you can find out more about the life of the Celts in Upper Swabia. After your visit, continue along the Danube cycle path. Cycle through Hundersingen and follow the signs for the Danube Cycle Path towards Riedlingen.
Shortly before Binzwangen, you can stop on the renaturalized banks of the Danube and enjoy the river landscape with its sand and gravel beds. In Binzwangen, cross the Danube bridge on the left towards Waldhausen and Altheim. In Binzwangen, the route climbs steeply for a short while. In the village, turn left from Kreuztaler Straße into Hundersinger Straße. You are now on the way back to Heuneburg. Please follow the cycle path signs to Heuneburg Castle.</p
