Überlinger Gartenkulturpfad

The Überlingen Garden Culture Trail connects the town's most beautiful parks and gardens over a length of around four kilometers. Wonderful views over the lake and the historic old town alternate with green oases of tranquillity. The heart of the fully signposted circular trail is the listed city garden.

The walk begins at the Badgarten. From here, it follows the riverside promenade across the small bridge at Gondele harbor to the villa gardens, which served as an exhibition area during the 2021 State Garden Show. The newly built plant house with its large collection of cacti is well worth a visit.The route then continues along Bahnhofstraße to the Hotel Stadtgarten, where the path branches off to the right into the lower city garden before the so-called Devil's Staircase.

On the way through the lower Stadtgarten, you pass the Rosengarten. A detour leads to the upper Stadtgarten with its viewing pavilion. In the lower city garden, the path continues through the Fuchsienweg/Gallergraben.

Past the Aufkircher Tor gate, the path leads through the Scheerengraben and the Wagsautergraben with Kesselbach to the cemetery. From there, the path runs past the train station to the Rosenobel/Nellenbachgraben and the Garten St. Franziskus and on to the Städtisches Museum with its panoramic garden.

Through the Menzinger Gärten, which were also an exhibition area during the State Garden Show, you return to the blossoming Uferpromenade and the landing site.
