Cycle route German Half-Timbered Road | Stage middle route/main route

On 798km along the Neckar River to the Black Forest and Lake Constance.

Today, the unique historical panorama of many cities and communities in Baden-Württemberg is characterized by the half-timbered construction method. Along the popular German Half-Timbered Road, you can find very well-preserved half-timbered buildings. The central route, which also describes the main route, covers approximately 350km and impresses with highlights such as Eberbach, Bietigheim-Bissingen, and Meersburg.

In addition to the main route, there is also the western route stage. Starting from the northern Eberbach in the Rhein-Neckar district, through Bietigheim-Bissingen, all the way to Sasbachwalden in the Ortenau district, it encompasses the magnificent nature of the Black Forest.

As a counterpart, there is also the eastern route stage. It leads from the northern Eberbach in the Rhein-Neckar district, through Schorndorf in the heart of the Rems-Murr district, to Meersburg on the northern shore of the Swabian Sea, Lake Constance.

The Neckar Valley/Black Forest stage is also part of the German Half-Timbered Road cycle route. The route leads from Bietigheim-Bissingen, through Bad Urach on the Swabian Alb, all the way to Calw.

The Neckar Valley/Swabian Alb stage, on the other hand, leads from Bietigheim-Bissingen, through Blaubeuren in the Alb-Donau district, all the way to Riedlingen on the southern edge of the Swabian Alb.
