KJ6 Von der Hohen Straße bis zum Essigberg

This scenically varied tour around Roigheim promises pure variety. Run as an "eight" in 2 sections, it is well suited to hikers with different levels of ability.

First, the route takes you leisurely along the edge of the forest towards Sennfeld. You can enjoy your first break at Fischbachsee lake or stop off in Sennfeld. Regardless of where you take a break, you should always gather your strength for the following ascent. Once you reach the top of Hohe Straße, however, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view. The route takes you through beautiful forests back to Roigheim.
If you feel like it, you can tackle the second loop along the Roigheim berry plantations through woods and fields. The path to the nature reserve on the Essigberg is definitely worthwhile. Especially in May when the orchids are in bloom, the variety of flowers between the old stone bars is a real feast for the eyes.
