WT5 Entlang des Württembergischen Weinwanderweges

The lively ups and downs take you through panoramic vineyards and charming wine-growing communities. The 64 km circular trail can be easily organized in 3-4 stages.

Starting from Weinsberg, you hike along the Württemberg Wine Trail to the "end of the valley" at Lake Breitenau through sunny vineyards. Above the lake, the small mountain town of Löwenstein with the Manfred-Kyber-Museum awaits a visit. The wide valley of the Weinsberg Valley opens up from the heights of Löwenstein. On a clear day, the view extends across the Hohenlohe plain, the Kocher and Jagst valleys to the peaks of the Odenwald and the Electoral Palatinate.

From Eschenau, the tour becomes a little "shadier" and leads through wooded areas in the foothills of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park to Eberstadt.

Mostly on the uppermost vineyard path at the edge of the forest, the route continues towards the Neckar valley. There are numerous beautiful viewpoints along the way. Probably the most striking is the Scheuerberg above Neckarsulm. You should definitely plan a rest on the former castle spur and let your gaze wander.

The route follows the small river Sulm back to the starting point in Weinsberg. Here, the weibertreu castle ruins are one last highlight. If you take on the short, but tough ascent to the highest point on the castle hill, you will also gain a view of the entire hiking route.

Along the way, there are numerous cozy brooms and lovely restaurants to stop off at.

Recommendation for daily stages
The 64 km can be individually divided into 3-4 stages. There are charming "wine hosts" close to the route in the suggested stage towns.

Weinsberg - Löwenstein, approx. 15 km

• Löwenstein - Bretzfeld-Dimbach, approx. 15.2 km
  or Löwenstein - Eberstadt, approx. 23 km

• Bretzfeld - Dimbach - Neckarsulm, approx. 25 km
  or Eberstadt - Neckarsulm, approx. 17 km

• Neckarsulm - Weinsberg, approx. 9 km
