WT16 Burgruine, Aussichten und Motorräder

Imposing views from the Löwenstein castle ruins, the Hofacker and the Löwensteiner Platte, a popular meeting point for bikers.

This tour is a lovely walk. From the town center of Löwenstein, the route leads up to the castle ruins. On Sundays and some Saturdays, the nature park guides from the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park visit the area with a lot of flair. Then you can also climb the tower. The last ascent leads up to the Hofacker and is rewarded with a magnificent view over the Weinsberg valley. A little later, the highest point of the route at the Löwenstein plateau offers a different perspective. This is where motorcyclists from all over Germany and neighboring countries meet in summer. An impressive sight! The route descends through a small wood to Offelesklinge and from there past the forest cemetery back to Löwenstein.
