Description

This circular hike starting in Allrode allows you to explore three side valleys of the Bodetal. The route also takes you past Jagdschloss Windenhütte and through the two villages located in the Bodetal, Altenbrak and Treseburg.

Route description

The starting point of this challenging circular tour is the central hiking trail signpost at Hotel Harzer Land in Allrode. From here, follow the Bode-Selke-Stieg trail (marked with a green triangle), passing by Hotel Resort Waldesruh, later along Sellebach and Luppbode until you reach the white bridge. Turn left here towards Windenhütte and continue following the yellow/green triangle markings.

Past Jagdschloss Windenhütte (opportunity for a break), continue towards Altenbrak (marked with a red dot) until you reach the shelter, then turn right for about 30 meters to the path branching off to Kleines Mühlental (marked with a green dot).

Upon reaching Altenbrak, follow the path to the right along the Bode on the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg trail (green witch) to Treseburg. Here, at Hotel Forelle, turn right towards the spa park on the road to Allrode, then along Luppbode (marked with a red bar/yellow square) until you reach the junction to Rabental. Follow the red bar/yellow square markings through Rabental back to the starting point in Allrode.
