Romkerhaller Waterfall Hike near Bad Harzburg

On this varied hike, we walk over the steep cliffs of the Okertal to the Romkerhaller Waterfall. Here, endurance and technique are required!

Description

The starting point of our challenging hike is the HarzWaldHaus in the Kurpark. We hike via the Ahrendsberger Stieg to the Jugendwaldheim and the Ahrendsberger Klippen (Hallesche Hütte). Through charming landscapes, we master the steep descent into the Okertal and further to the Romkerhaller Waterfall. This is followed by a steep ascent to the Käste. Here, we can linger at the Kästehaus before hiking back towards Bad Harzburg via the Steinbrecherweg and Café Goldberg. On the Ringweg or Stadtstieg, we return to our starting point in the Kurpark.
