Short description

This circular route takes you 28 km through forest and heath, along the diverse lake landscape of the Elbe-Havel-Winkel. The entire forest area around Klietz is referred to as Klietzer Heide. Charming clearings covered with heather exist as pure heath. As part of the UNESCO Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve, the region promises breathtaking natural spectacles.

Route description

You start in Klietz at junction 97 and ride on a street-parallel cycle path to Schönfeld. You reach the Frau Harke waymark (rest area) at junction 83 and turn right towards junction 43, riding on an asphalt road to Campingplatz Schönfeld. The path continues along the lake to the country road and junction 43. Turn right onto a street-parallel cycle path towards the junction “Am See”. Follow the cycle path signs towards junction 35 Mahlitz. At this intersection, you leave the Altmarkrundkurs. The municipal road “Am See” leads you to the recreation resort Kamern. You can rest at the natural pool with sanitary facilities, playground, and youth club. Following the signs, the path continues with track paths and then on a naturally surfaced cycle path over the Kamernschen Berge through the forest towards Mahlitz. You ride on a lightly trafficked rural road from junction 35 in Mahlitz back to Klietz
