Route description

From the starting point, the train station in Bernburg, we turn right onto Bahnhofstraße. After 250 meters, we turn right onto Köthener Straße and follow the Saale cycle path for one kilometer. At the intersection of Köthener Straße/Teichweg, we turn right onto the Fuhneradweg in a southerly direction. We then follow the Fuhneradweg for a total of about 65 kilometers through numerous small and larger villages such as Baalberge, Gröbzig, Radegast, and Salzfurtkapelle until we reach Wolfen. We continue along the Fuhneradweg, leave Wolfen behind us, and head to Jessnitz.

In the street Anger in Jessnitz, the Fuhneradweg meets the Mulderadweg at the corner of Wall. Here we turn left onto the Mulderadweg. We follow it northward, passing through Altjeßnitz, Sollnitz, Kleutzsch, before entering the Muldeaue of Dessau-Rosslau and thus the famous Dessauer Gartenreich. We follow the Mulderadweg to the hunting bridge at the mansion in Dessau.

From here, we turn left and follow the Elberadweg westward. The Elberadweg takes us past Aken, across the Elbfähre towards Steckby, and on to Tochheim.

In Tochheim, we cross the Elbe by ferry. We drive straight ahead for 200 meters and then turn right onto Alt Tochheim. After 600 meters, we turn left. We continue straight ahead until we turn right onto the main street in Groß Rosenburg after four kilometers. We follow the main street for 1.5 kilometers until we reach Dammhaus. Here we turn left and cycle on the Saale cycle path towards Calbe.

We follow the Saale cycle path through Trabitz to Gottesgnaden towards Calbe. Before the Saale bridge, we turn left and continue on the Saale cycle path. It now leads us southward, passing through Neugattersleben until we return to Bernburg. To return to the train station, we follow the Saale cycle path to the corner of Köthener Straße/Bahnhofstraße. Here we turn left onto Bahnhofstraße and cycle back to the train station.
