Shepherds Gate-Söhrberg-Chicken Farm-Leopold Star-Hunters Fir-Shepherds Gate

Description

The Shepherds Gate serves as the starting point. We walk parallel to the L466, cross a small stream, soon leave the area of the main road, and reach the edge of the Söhrberg on a gravel path. Here, you can choose to continue on the gravel path through the forest or on the grassy edge path to the north. In good weather, it is advisable to take the latter path with a good view of the area from several resting benches.

Past Zehnders Chicken Farm, we turn east and rest on a natural bench on the left side with a wide view over Neuhof and Wöllersheim towards the north. We continue on a well-marked forest path through beech and spruce stands to Leopold Star, a forest path intersection, with a resting bench. As an alternative, you can take the path marked with a deer symbol to Glashütte before reaching Glashütte and then take the mushroom path to Leopold Star.

From here, continue west towards the Hunters Fir until you reach the edge of the forest. At the forest edge, return to the starting point.
