Three Lakes Route - Cycling by Numbers in the Elbe-Havel-Winkel

Short Description

This circular route takes you 38 km through the lowlands of the Elbe, through forests and along a distinctive lake landscape. You drive along the Elbe valley old waters of Großer- and Kleiner Klietzer See, Rahnsee, and Kamernscher See. The lakes are fed and connected by the murky lowlands.

Route Description

You start in Klietz at junction 97 and follow the bike path signage to Schönfeld, then turn left at junction 83. You cross the B107, cycle through Schönfeld, and after a relaxing ride along the Elbe, you reach Sandau. The church is located directly at junction 78. Continue to junction 37 in Wulkau. Wulkau is known for its many horses. Camels and llamas also graze in the surrounding pastures. Take the road-side bike path towards Kamern. If you make a short detour to junction 20, you can visit Hedemicke, a natural monument. Continue through the resort of Kamern over the Kamernsche Berge to Mahlitz, until you reach junction 35. From Mahlitz, head towards Klietz on a quiet country road through the forest. As you look left at the roundabout at junction 52, you will see the restored post mill. Follow Rathenower Straße until you reach your starting point 97 again.

Due to forestry work, there may be occasional restrictions on the route between Mahlitz and Kamern. We appreciate your understanding.
