The stage from Arendsee to the Hanseatic city of Seehausen is diverse: From heathland and forest from Arendsee to the Elbe, through the Elbe Aland Niederung to the stork paradise of Wahrenberg, and then through the vastness of the Elbe floodplain to the Hanseatic city of Seehausen. The towers of significant Romanesque churches come into view time and again, and the villages have retained their charm.Rest areas along the Elbe invite you to linger.From afar, we can already see the destination of our tour with the mighty towers of St. Petri Church in Seehausen.

Directions

From Arendsee, we first follow the eastern shore of the Arendsee and then ride through forest and fields towards Gollensdorf and Bömezien.From here, we continue on Elbe dikes through the Elbe Aland Niederung to Wahrenberg.From Wahrenberg, the path leads us to the Stendal-Wittenberge railway line, which we pass under and then continue on Elbe dikes to Beuster.Passing through the village of Beuster, we return to the Elbe Aland Niederung and ride through meadows and fields to Seehausen.

This stage is most beautiful in June when the stork chicks curiously look out from their nests in Wahrenberg.
