Description

The Reformation Cycle Path connects over 30 churches of the unified municipality of Hansestadt Gardelegen. The approximately 160-kilometer-long route leads cyclists away from the main roads from one church to the next, each station marked by a stele with one of Martin Luthers 95 Theses and a rose as a symbol of the Reformation. The complete circular route is being expanded piece by piece, aiming for 95 stations, one for each thesis.

Many churches with their own charm are represented on this tour, but some are particularly well-known:

• Dorfkirche Ipse: This is where the Reformation Cycle Path originated. In the small church, one of the smallest in the country, medieval wall and ceiling paintings can be admired...
