History lovers should know that this moat dates back to the time of the Slavs. Whether it served as a fortification, refuge, or cult site is not known. Start the tour at Ketzins Havel beach towards Dammgraben, passing by the island Langer Werder. Crossing the connecting canal, you reach the water sports rest area Schmergow on the left bank. Cross the fairway and head north over Trebelsee towards the Kormoran islands, passing into the Old Havel. At the water sports rest area Ketzin Brückenkopf, you can take a break. The tour continues towards Havelpromenade and the Old Town of Ketzin/Havel. On the last stretch of the tour, you will pass through numerous water lily fields and end up back at Ketzins Havel beach.
