Description

The stage starts at the Saaletal campsite in Kloschwitz. The following section between Dobis and Könnern is one of the most beautiful areas in the Halle region. The Saale River cuts through the Halle-Hettstedter mountain bridge. Steep and partly rocky slopes with dry grass shape the landscape. In Rothenburg, you can take a break at RU below the ferry. About 2 hours after passing Rothenburg lock, you reach the Schifferstadt Alsleben. After passing the bridge of the A14 motorway, there is an opportunity for a break on the left bank in Großwirschleben. The journey continues through the Auenwald near Plötzkau. From Gröna, you reach the Bernburg campsite with the Schifferklause restaurant after about 2.5 kilometers. Nearby is the Saaleperle adventure pool in Neuborna. Of course, you can also continue to Bernburg and land directly in the center for water sports with MBSV. From here, it is a short walk to visit the impressive castle complex with the Eulenspiegel tower and museum.
