Magnificent landscapes and impressive evidence of popular piety await hikers and pilgrims on the faith trails - paths for the spirit, the soul - to hike and enjoy.

The starting point of a wonderful circular hike is the Feuersee lake in the Gmünd district of Bargau. From there, it goes uphill via the Birkhof and the Tannenbrunnen on the Jakobusweg to the Kolpinghaus. A children's playground, barbecue areas and the magnificent panoramic view of the Dreikaiserberge mountains invite you to take a break and linger. Continue along a forest path, which is soon followed by a steep, narrow path, to the plateau of the Scheuelberg and the "Hoher Fels" viewpoint. This small viewing plateau with an oak cross offers a magnificent view of the western Alb, the Rems Valley and the Swabian-Franconian Forest. The trail continues via the Beurener Waldwiese to Himmelreich, where the Naturfreundehaus welcomes hikers and also has plenty of space for children to play and run around. Passing the striking Beurener Kreuz cross, you head west to the Oberer Lauchhof. There is a small Lourdes grotto here, which invites you to reflect and take a break. After a short descent, you reach the center of Bargau, where you pass St. James' Church on the way back to the Feuersee.
