On this short, scenic and culturally very attractive circular tour, both young and old explorers can climb one of the impressive Dreikaiserberge mountains: The Hohenrechberg

The trail first leads to the baroque pilgrimage church of St. Maria, which was built on the 707 m high plateau. The route continues along natural paths to the Hohenrechberg castle ruins, right in the middle of the time of minstrels and brave knights. The castle ruins are a reminder of the glory of the Hohenstaufen dynasty and the knights and counts of Rechberg and Rothenlöwen. What no besiegers managed to do for around 600 years was accomplished by the forces of nature: in 1865, lightning struck during a winter storm and the core castle was almost completely burnt out. Today, the ruins of Rechberg Castle are considered to be one of the most beautiful in Swabia. If you want to enjoy the magnificent views in peace and quiet, you can take a break in the "Burgschänke" before the path leads back to the starting point.
