Family hiking trail with time-honored buildings along the way and lots of animals - especially horses. Keller's Hofrast halfway along the trail, ideal for a short break.

On the new Kraichtal family hiking trail, young and old hikers can marvel at time-honored buildings, pet horses, admire natural beauty and enjoy farm produce on a varied circular tour.
Soon after starting the tour at the Kraichtal-Menzingen hiking station, you will reach the Schwanenburg castle and the enchanted moated castle ruins - popular photo motifs on the edge of the historic town center. Easy-to-climb hills outside the village offer wonderful views of the Kraichgau hills. An impressive hollow path leads to the farms of the Weierbachsiedlung, where farm produce is on sale in farm stores and the Hofrast Keller invites you to take a break.
The sight of magnificent horses in spacious paddocks and lovely ponies waiting to be stroked make the hiking time fly by before Menzingen's gastronomy invites you to enjoy the end of the day's hiking.
The family-friendly 8.5 km circular tour is easy to hike with a pure hiking time of 2:30 h, is only partially suitable for baby carriages and is therefore recommended for children of pre-school age and older.
