From Mummelsee, this trail leads along the paved road, which is closed to vehicles, up to the Hornisgrinde viewing tower. From there, there are wonderful views of the Rhine Valley and the Vosges mountains as well as the surrounding Black Forest mountains. The same route leads back to the starting point. There you can take a leisurely stroll around Lake Mummelsee if you feel like it.
The Berghotel Mummelsee and the Grinde-Hütte (closed on Mondays) at the Hornisgrinde viewing tower offer refreshments.</p
