Tiny, but indispensable for the functioning of our ecosystems are bees. But what exactly do we know about them? The bee nature trail provides answers to the many questions that are not only on the minds of young nature lovers.
The educational trail with several information boards, a sandarium and a large nesting aid including a wooden statue starts in Hirsau spa gardens and leads to Flößerwasen.
The educational bee trail perfectly complements the "Blooming Nature Park" project, in which the town of Calw has participated by sowing flower meadow seeds in Hirsau Spa Park. As part of the project, the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park and the Baden Beekeepers' Association (LV) are committed to increasing ecological diversity in the region.
The flower meadow serves as an attraction for butterflies and wild bees, which are threatened by insect extinction.
