Naturparke-Gravel-Crossing Tag 6 - Von Baiersbronn nach Wolfach

The route continues with plenty of elevation gain past cirque lakes through the deep Black Forest.

From Baiersbronn, the route covers almost 60 km and 1400 vertical meters into the picturesque Kinzig Valley, home of the Black Forest Bollenhut.

From Baiersbronn, the route first leads past the Sankenbachsee lake and the Sankenbach waterfalls up towards Kniebis to the Ellbachseeblick. Here you have a wonderful view of the Ellbachsee, another cirque lake.

Continue over the Kniebis towards Bad Rippoldsau. In Bad Rippoldsau, it is worth making a detour to the herb garden. After Bad Rippoldsau, the route leads past the Burgbachfelsen waterfall, one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Germany.

The route then continues through the forest, past the St. Romaner Höhe, which offers a beautiful view of St. Roman. One last long climb and then the trail leads downhill again to Wolfach, the town of raftsmen and glassblowers.
