Naturparke-Gravel-Crossing Tag 7 - Von Wolfach nach Triberg

A strenuous stage with almost 2000 meters of altitude. Shortly after Hornberg, you leave the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park and continue through the fourth nature park, the Southern Black Forest Nature Park.

From the glass-blowing and rafting town of Wolfach, the route covers around 59 kilometers and 1970 metres in altitude to the clock-making town of Triberg.

The route begins with a climb from Wolfach to Auf der Grub. Here you are rewarded for your efforts with a beautiful view. The route continues through woods and meadows towards Schramberg. A detour to the Hohenschramberg ruins offers a good view of the valley town.

The route then leads through the picturesque climatic health resort of Lauterbach. Via Fohrenbühl, the route finally leads to Hornberg. Here it is worth stopping off at one of our nature park inns. The hometown of the famous "Hornberg shooting" is nestled in a beautiful mountain and valley landscape.

After Hornberg, the thighs are put to the test once again. There is one last long uphill section through the forest until we reach the top and cycle comfortably across pastures and meadows to Triberg. The destination of the tour is famous for the Triberg waterfalls, which are among the highest in Germany. Foaming and thundering, the water of the Gutach plunges 163 m down into the valley in seven stages.Regional shopping opportunities:
