Naturpark-Radweg Etappe 3 - von Baden-Baden nach Calmbach

Experience the scenic diversity of the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park, its highlights and treasures along the way and enjoy the culinary offerings of your hosts on the 260-kilometre, well-developed cycle route. The third stage takes you from the warm Rhine Valley into the wild northern Black Forest. You will encounter historic towns, monasteries and the former Swabian-Baden border on this section.

The nature park cycle path takes you through the most beautiful corners of the northern and central Black Forest. You can expect impressive, varied landscapes, beautiful little towns and excellent gastronomy - the Black Forest as you would expect from a picture book. You start this stage in the glamorous spa town of Baden-Baden and soon enter the northern Black Forest. The vineyards slowly disappear and are replaced by deciduous forests and rural landscapes. Idyllic valleys and forests await you on your way to Calmbach, a suburb of Bad Wildbad.

There is plenty to discover, so plan your route to suit your mood! You will pass through the historic baroque town of Ettlingen, where you should plan a stop. In the Alb Valley, you will find two Black Forest founding monasteries, Herrenalb and Frauenalb, a little off the beaten track near Bad Herrenalb. Finally, in the Enz Valley, you will once again encounter the topic of rafting, for example in the rafting museum in Calmbach.

The nature park cycle path is also suitable for e-bikers: you will find e-bike charging stations along the entire route where you can charge your pedelec battery free of charge.
