PF2 Brunnenweg - Wander3Klang Pfaffenhofen

The middle tour of the Wander3Klang Pfaffenhofen leads from fountain to fountain through the Stromberg forest.

On the middle tour of the Wander3Klang Pfaffenhofen, you will come across 7 fountains and springs - a fairytale number for a fairytale hike.

The first stop on the hike is the idyllically situated Rodbachhof. It gives its name to the spring that supplied the farmstead with water until 1999. The trail continues into the Stromberg forest to the Bierenteich spring, which has its source in the colorful marl and is therefore very rich in minerals. If you follow the Brunnenweg signs, you will reach "Steinhauer's Rast" below the White Quarry - a spring with a long history. The tour takes all PF2 hikers up to the Stromberg ridge to the "White Quarry". It is the site of spectacular fossils from the Triassic period (approx. 220 million years ago) and also offers a wonderful view of the Zabergäu with its viewing platform. The next stop on the circular hike is the Wetzsteinklinge. It owes its name to the "blade" shape of the terrain and to the fact that the fine Stuben sandstone was used to sharpen knives. At Petersbrunnen, the approximately 180 million year old Netzstein is remarkable. The sixth spring is located in the new field, where the forest unexpectedly opens up into a meadow. In the reed sandstone area, the water tastes and smells of sulphur and iron. The path leads us back to the old sports field via Robert's well and Robert's hut.The hiking triads in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park

The hiking triads in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park are a uniformly signposted trail system with over 60 circular hiking trails throughout the nature park, offering more than 400 km of hiking pleasure.

A "hiking triad hiking trail" always starts from a marked hiking parking lot. Three circular tours of different lengths always start here, both short tours of between three and five km and half-day and day tours of between 10 and 20 km.
