Tagestour Kocher-Jagst-Radweg

Touring tip for a day trip along the Kocher-Jagst cycle path in the lower Kocher and Jagst valleys.

Between Möckmühl, Widdern and Jagsthausen, steep, often former terraced vineyards accompany the Kocher-Jagst cycle path. Götz von Berlichingen was once on the road here in the "knightly Jagsttal". Every year in the summer months, the knight with the iron fist comes back to life at the original location of the Götzenburg castle in Jagsthausen.

In Jagsthausen, the "valley change" takes place into the Kocher valley. The route continues downstream along the Kocher to Hardthausen-Kochersteinsfeld. The route continues via the aerospace site of Lampoldshausen and the Harthäuser Wald forest back into the Jagsttal valley.

As a circular tour from/to Widdern, it is 36 km and 360 m of ascent.
As a circular tour from/to Möckmühl, it is 51 km and 560 m of ascent.
