Comfortable connoisseurs and sporty pedallers ride along the vineyards and up the Stromberg into the heart of Germany's largest red wine landscape.
Brackenheim-Botenheim is chosen as the suggested starting point. After a gentle start, the more strenuous sections follow in the second half of the tour. Your start is the cycle path over the Zaber up to Brackenheim, birthplace of the first German President Theodor Heuss.
An initial ascent towards Heuchelberg leads through the Haberschlachter Forest to Stockheim. This gentle warm-up is followed by a largely flat section on the Württemberger Weinradweg between Güglingen and Pfaffenhofen. From Pfaffenhofen, the name of the cycle tour becomes the program. The tour turns into Strombergstraße, the name of which already reveals the last, but tough climb of the tour.
You cycle straight through the forest on the Rennweg to above the Tripsdrill adventure park and finally down to Michaelsberg. Rennwege - also known as Rennsteig or Rennstieg - are all military paths from the age of chivalry. Often laid out in a straight line, they were used for fast progress.
The Michaelsberg above the Tripsdrill Adventure Park marks the "run-out point" for the trimmers, so to speak. From here, the bike rolls almost by itself along the Herrenwiesenbach stream back to the starting point
