Stromberg Swabian Forest Trail - nature park hopping with a stopover in the Neckar Valley.

From Pforzheim via Besigheim to Lorch, first over the Stromberg ridge in the Heuchelberg Nature Park. And finally through the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park.

The densely wooded and lonely Keuper heights of the Stromberg, Murrhardt and Welzheim forests offer a stark contrast to the fertile plains around the middle Neckar, which are crossed near Besigheim. All the fruits of the land, grain, fruit and wine thrive in these light-flooded regions.

The route also has a lot to offer historically: the Eppingen lines helped to defend against the French invasions in the 17th century. Besigheim is an old castle town; Backnang has a beautiful medieval town center - and the Hohenstaufen family built their burial place in Lorch Monastery.

The HW10 starts at the Kupferhammer bus stop in Pforzheim at the Goldene Pforte and runs from Pforzheim via Mühlacker to the first stage destination Illingen.

The second stage leads from Illingen via Eselsberg to Häfernhaslach. The third stage leads via the Blankenhorn ruins to Besigheim. The fourth stage leads via Freiberg am Neckar to the Schiller town of Marbach am Neckar, before the fifth stage leads via Affalterbach and Kirchberg an der Murr to Backnang.

The last two stages lead via Allmersbach im Tal to the Georg-Fahrbach-Weg and on to Rudersberg and then via Urbach and Plüderhausen to Lorch, where the HW10 ends.
