Etappe Obersulm - Weinsberg | Württembergischer Weinwanderweg

Stage on the Württemberg Wine Trail - S-Bahn hike from Obersulm-Eschenau through the Löwenstein mountains to Weinsberg.

Starting from Obersulm-Eschenau, you first hike up the Kirschenallee towards Löwenstein on the Württemberg Wine Trail. On this section, hikers can enjoy views across the Hohenlohe plain, the Kocher and Jagst valleys to the peaks of the Odenwald and the Electoral Palatinate with good visibility.In the resort town of Löwenstein, a short stop at the viewpoint in front of the town wall is a good idea. Here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Weinsberg valley and across Lake Breitenau. Those interested in culture will find the estate of the poet Manfred Kyber (1880-1933), who lived the last years of his life in Löwenstein, in the medieval Freihaus of the town of Löwenstein.

The tour continues through the vineyards in the foothills of the Löwenstein mountains via Lehrensteinsfeld to Weinsberg.

In Weinsberg, the ruins of Weibertreu Castle with the Wine and Rose Trail and the Justinus Kerner Museum (Kernerhaus) are well worth a visit for wine lovers. Tip: take a guided tour of the Kernerhaus
