HOCHGEHBERGE-Tour »hochgehfestigt« - Premiumwanderweg in Beuren

The "hochgehfestigt" premium hiking trail runs through orchards and shady forests below the "Blue Wall", as Eduard Mörike described the Albtrauf.

Fascinating views and vistas of Beuren, the Beurener Fels and the region are a constant source of inspiration. It is not for nothing that a part of the "Hochgehfestigt" hiking trail was named the Philosopher's Trail by a former mayor. If you would like to share your thoughts and impressions with posterity, you can do so at the Willi-Gras bench. A so-called "bench book" (similar to a summit book) is available there for you to write in.

The trail continues past the picturesque Tobelweiher pond, through sun-drenched vineyards and across natural flower meadows to the Hohbölle volcanic embryo (a long-extinct small volcano). Benches and loungers along the way invite you to take a break in the charming landscape.

The highly fortified Hohenneuffen castle ruins, one of the largest fortifications in southern Germany, are also always worth a detour and contribute to the apt title of the tour.
