Description by the author

There are numerous playgrounds in Überlingen's city center, which are connected on this circular tour.

Sand bucket and shovel are a must on this walk around Überlingen's old town. We start at the landing site along the lakeside promenade in a westerly direction. Past the Badgarten and over the small bridge at Gondelehafen, we reach the villa gardens through the tree gate. Here, the cormorant's nest invites you to climb and swing. The small pile dwelling on the lakeshore is not only a pretty photo motif but also a great hiding place for the youngest vacation guests.

At the end of the lakeside park, the path leads us along Bahnhofstrasse into the city garden. The upper part of the garden is particularly interesting for children. The fallow deer in the Überlingen deer enclosure can be enticed with food from the vending machine and the witch's house by the viewing pavilion is sure to amaze children. The snack benches in the shady forest of the city garden invite you to take a breather.

A little further up the hill, another playground awaits for sanding and romping around.

At Aufkircher Tor, a steep footpath leads us into the ditch. Once at the bottom, we slip through the wall passage on the left into the Blatterngraben, which takes us to another shady playground right next to the town wall at the junction with Nellenbachgraben (Grabenstraße).

We follow the Nellenbachgraben along the wall until we reach the small staircase that takes us up to Olberplatz with the Schwertletänzer fountain. So much playing makes you thirsty: the drinking fountain invites you to refresh yourself before we climb up Krummebergstraße. Passing the Rosenobel Gardens and the Municipal Museum, we reach the Menzinger Gardens at the end of the road. The climbing tower is reminiscent of the nearby cathedral tower and is the last playground on our circular tour. The Sandbergweg then leads us back to the Mantelhafen and the riverside promenade.
