Überlinger Sundowner-Spaziergang

The ideal loop for a walk in the sunset with wonderful viewpoints along the way.

This tour begins at Überlingen Landungsplatz and first leads away from the lake to the north via Franziskanerstraße. Via Steinhausgasse, which is also home to Überlingen's public library, you reach Blatterngraben. Here it is worth taking a short detour up the steps to Uhlandhöhe to enjoy a first view of the lake. The Stadtgraben then continues to the entrance of Überlingen's Stadtgarten. If you like, you can stroll through the lower part of the park and walk to the upper part via the so-called Teufelstreffe. Otherwise, follow the signs for the Seegang premium trail from here into the upper part of the park and enjoy another wonderful view over Lake Überlingen and into the garden from the viewing pavilion.

At the western end of the Oberer Stadtgarten, continue to follow the SeeGang signs and pass the Buchinger WIlhelmi clinic and the small Schreibersbildkapelle chapel to the Eglisbol viewpoint. This view over Lake Constance is second to none and is very popular at any time of year.While the SeeGang then branches off to the right towards Sipplinger Steilufer, this route leads back to the lake via Goldbach. In the lakeside park, which can be entered at the level crossing at the Silvester Chapel, you will now find a large selection of picnic areas and benches where you can enjoy the sunset.

At the end of the tour, the path leads east out of the lakeside park towards the city center. Behind the Bodensee-Therme thermal baths, you can use the walkway off the road through the villa gardens and along the lakeside promenade to return to the landing site.
