From the Black Forest to the Vosges

The Elzach-Villé cycle route connects people, towns and landscapes on both sides of the Upper Rhine. What a pleasure to explore the southern Baden district of Emmendingen and central Alsace by bike.

Varied nature between the twin mountains of the Black Forest and the Vosges. The fertile Upper Rhine plain, the Ried along the Rhine, the vine-covered foothills and the valleys offer ideal conditions for stages of varying difficulty.The cycle path between the twin towns of Villé and Elzach is almost 90 kilometers long. It expresses the bond between the district of Emmendingen and the Alsatian cantons of Marckolsheim, Sélestat and Villé. This cycle route was realized with the support of the European Union. It is marked in both directions. You will reach charming little towns and idyllic villages on comfortable, well-signposted cycle paths. Enjoy the atmosphere of the Vosges, the Alsatian wine route, the Rhine plain, the garden landscape of the northern Kaiserstuhl, the Breisgau foothills and the Black Forest panorama. On the Elzach-Villé cycle route, you can experience a piece of Europe from its most beautiful side.
