A varied and, despite its short length, strenuous hike with some steep ascents and descents on narrow paths to the Brend viewing tower.
The small side valleys of the Elz and Simonswälder valleys are numerous. And each of these side valleys branches out once again. And one of them is the Nonnenbach Valley. The hike up the Brend starts there, at the Wolfhof farm.
