Mühlbach-Rundweg

Ebener themed cycle path from Emmendingen-Kollmarsreute to Riegel. Along the Mühlbach industrial canal, 20 boards provide information about the mills, power stations and sights along the way - industrial history from the Middle Ages to the present day.

If you want to "experience" the Mühlbach from its origins to its end, start the tour at the Kollmarsreuter Wehr. You first ride past the Kollmarsreute district on country lanes, meet up with the Mühlbach again in the Bürkle-Bleiche district and past several power stations into the city center. Here you will find nice cafés, ice cream parlors and inns if you fancy a break.

Along the Mühlbach stream and past the Mundinger Mühle you leave Emmendingen and come to Teningen, where more power power stations await you. Then you cycle across open terrain to Riegel, which soon comes into view with its characteristic brewery building. The Elz, Glotter and Dreisam rivers flow together here. In the historic Riegel you can treat yourself to a break, with a shady beer garden tempting you to stop off. stop for a bite to eat.

The way back is along the left-hand side of the Elz dam in the direction of flow to Emmendingen. Along the way are the Köndringer Baggersee and the Teningen and Emmendingen outdoor pools, where you can refresh yourself in summer. can refresh yourself.
