Panoramic trails above Emmendingen and to the Eichberg Tower, Germany's highest viewing tower.

The tour, which starts in the heart of Emmendingen directly at the train station, leads to the Eichberg Tower, the highest viewing tower in Germany. Several viewing heights with views to the west of the Landeck castle ruins, the Rebland, the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges mountains, to the south of the Breisgau bay with the city of Freiburg and the Black Forest, offer impressive views. The wonderful view at the Wöpplinsberg chapel, one of the most atmospheric places in the Emmendingen region, invites you to take a break at the tables and benches provided. The highlight of the tour is the Eichberg Tower, the highest viewing tower in Germany, which is the halfway point of the tour. The tour ends with a descent on the Breisgau Wine Trail through the forest, past the Center for Psychiatry and along the Brettenbach stream back to the city centre.
