Radtour zum Kaiserstuhl

The circular tour leads to the Kaiserstuhl through the charming Elz river landscape with a view of the Kandel mountain massif.

You cycle comfortably through the fields of the Allmend to Teningen, on the cycle path next to the country road on the outskirts of Nimburg and through the Dreisam lowlands to the Kaiserstuhl wine and vegetable village of Eichstetten. You pedal through the fertile vineyards of the north-eastern Kaiserstuhl up to the Silberbrunnen estate, a former inn, and to the wooded Summberg. Great descents through the vineyards quickly lead down to the historic town center of Endingen, which invites you to stop for a visit or a break. Through fields and orchards, you reach Riegel at the northern narrow point of the Breisgau bay. Roman antiquity and modernity meet in Riegel. On the last section of the tour, you will experience the charming river landscape of the renaturalized Elz and enjoy the unobstructed view of the Kandel mountain massif that dominates the landscape. Along the way, a quarry pond and the outdoor pools in Teningen and Emmendingen invite you to refresh yourself.
