Eriskircher Riedweg - von Friedrichshafen durchs Eriskircher Ried

A hike through the largest and most important nature reserve
on the northern shore of Lake Constance - a habitat for numerous rare animal
and plant species and one of the last untouched pieces of nature
right on the shore.

Along the lakeside promenade, the hike first leads to the harbor pier, at the end of which you can take a first look at the long Eriskircher Ried and as far as the tip of Langenargen with Montfort Castle. The quiet eastern promenade takes you to the mouth of the Rotach. From here, there is a magnificent view back over the town and across the lake to the Alps.Into a small, romantic alluvial forest, the route takes you along narrow, natural paths on a voyage of discovery through the reed. Observation platforms, which extend out onto the lake and open up a wide panorama, as well as information boards on the flora and fauna in the nature reserve alternate and allow you to immerse yourself in an original world.

An open access to the lake with barbecue facilities at the Eriskircher Freibad invites
you to take a break right by the lake. Following the Schussen, you will reach a listed wooden bridge via a
dreamy lakeside path and finally
the village center of Eriskirch with its late Gothic church. Finally, you can gain interesting insights into the flora and fauna of the Ried at the Eriskirch Nature Conservation Center in the train station.
