Ailinger Panoramaweg

The panoramic circular hike leads along the Rotach to the highest point in Friedrichshafen, the Horach - and to the favorite place of many Ailinger, the Haldenberg chapel and the beautiful panoramic view.

From Ailingen town hall, you pass the Ailinger church, the half-timbered house of the old rectory and the Wellenfreibad in the direction of Ittenhausen. Cross the Rotachbrücke bridge to reach the Ittenhausen mill with its restored, historic mill building. After crossing the concrete works yard, the trail continues along quiet, romantic forest paths - following the Rotach - past other former mills and an old weir. There are always large gravel banks on the banks of the river, which are perfect for a rest After you finally leave the forest near the Weilermühle mill, the path leads past extensive paddocks and orchards, through Unterlottenweiler, until you finally climb up the Horach in a short section of forest. At 501 m, this is the highest point in Friedrichshafen with a magnificent view of Ailingen, the town and beyond. You will then reach the Haldenberg Chapel via meadow and field paths. As the highlight of the hike, this favorite spot of many people from Ailingen offers an extensive panorama of the lake and the Alps and an opportunity
