Winterbacher Rundwanderweg 2

The circular hiking trail 2 of the Swabian Albverein offers another longer alternative to the garden show trails and the cultural and historical hiking trails.

From the starting point at the outdoor pool, it leads us straight on to the dam. We follow the path along the reservoir into the forest and enjoy the relaxing tranquillity on our way, which crosses the Lehenbach stream with a bridge. Past the Salamanderbrünnele, playground and hay house, we continue along the forest edge up to the Buitersberg.

At the edge of the mountain, you have a great view of the Rems valley. After another section through the forest, we reach Schorndorf-Schlichten after crossing the path with the L1151 (take care!). After leaving the village, there are great views of the Swabian Alb outside Schlichten in good weather. We follow the path along the forest edge back into the forest and via the local road (please turn left!) back to Winterbach. We continue towards the valley, where we enjoy the idyllic Lehenbach valley until we come full circle at the Lehenbach bridge.
