Winterbacher Rundwanderweg 1

The Swabian Alb Association is also represented in Winterbach with two great circular hiking trails in Witerbach. The first circular trail takes us from the start at the outdoor pool via Goldboden and Hühnernest back to the village.

After passing the outdoor pool, dam and farm, we leave the castle behind us and walk from Engelberg towards the road to Manolzweiler (be careful when crossing!). We then continue along the farm track past the Goldboden memorial. This memorial at Goldboden was erected in 1842 to mark the 25th anniversary of the reign of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. There is also the Hartig monument here, which commemorates the most important forest scientist in the world: Georg Ludwig Hartig. An arboretum was also created in his honor.

As we walk past the sequoia trees, we continue within sight of the wind turbines until we reach the hiking trail junction to Hohengehren. We continue along the forest path, always following the signs, until we reach the biotope lake. From there, a trail leads into the forest. We follow this until we reach the cross-path, which then leads downhill and joins the Lehenbachsträßchen at the bottom of the Lehenbach. Past 2 birch trees and along the reservoir, our beautiful hike ends at the starting point at the outdoor pool.
