Argenbühl - Malaichenrunde - Nr. 6

The Schuhmichel of Megletz has its own peculiarity. We continue through the beautiful Osterwald forest in Argenbühl.

From the bus stop, we see the Schuhmichelbrunnen fountain, which was built in 1996 by sculptor Joseph Michael Neustifter. It commemorates Michael Netzer, better known as the "Schuhmichel von Megletz". Passing the vacation village via Burg, we come to the Osterwald forest (250 ha). This has been in the sole ownership of the Eglofs people since 1832 in the form of a cooperative. A short detour takes us to the Badwirtschaft Malleichen (refreshment stop), which was a mineral bath until 1930. Back on the circular route, we come to the Staudacher Weiher nature reserve. We cross the B12 and reach the Moorbad natural pond. Here you can enjoy a healthy swim in summer. A meadow path takes us over the Heuberg to the PanoramaBad in Eglofs. The panorama board provides information about the Alpine chain and we enjoy the beautiful view
