The Alpenblick circular hiking trail is around 7.6 km long and has two really beautiful sides: Mountain and valley. It leads along the Danube through the fascinating "Blochinger Sandwinkel" nature reserve towards Beuren. Then, after the ascent over the Danube slopes, with a wide view over the Danube valley back to Blochingen. The view from the highest point over the course of the young Danube, including the view of Mengen, which stretches out behind it, is particularly charming.

The tour begins at the Blochingen Danube bridge and leads through one of the most amazing paradises on the young Danube. The "Blochinger Sandwinkel" was created over 20 years ago as a response to the straightening sins of the past. The Danube was "freed" and a large S-loop was created. Not only so that the floodplain forest can spread out here again, but also so that the water of the Danube can: flood protection that also benefits nature. Three islands have formed; some arms become still waters at normal water levels. A paradise for rare animal species, surrounded by flower meadows and poppy fields. Even the beaver has returned here since 2005.In the middle of the idyll, you cross the second Danube bridge. This is where the Beuren ascent begins, which makes up almost the entire 55 meters of the tour. The short effort is rewarded by a wonderful panorama far across the Danube valley and - in good weather - as far as the distant Alps. This view accompanies us for the entire second half of the tour as we hike gently downhill back to Blochingen. The Alpenblick circular hiking trail is easy to master in two hours. A fairly sunny tour on the southern slope of the Danube valley. Cool off with a footbath in the Danube and finish off with a stop at the "Greutle" sports restaurant run by FC Blochingen.
