In three days around the Brettachtal

Hikeable Bretzfeld. The large municipality boasts heavenly views and almost 200 kilometers of well-marked hiking trails: a circular hiking trail Brettachtal as well as other circular hiking trails in all twelve districts starting from parking lots. But there are also cycle paths through "pure wine and nature".

The 50-kilometre Brettachtal circular hiking trail, which is divided into three daily stages, is marked throughout with the municipal coat of arms: red grapes and black antlers on a yellow background.

The Himmelreich, the vineyard site above the Bretzfeld district of Siebeneich, is the first scenic highlight (330 m) on the circular hike. From this spot, the view over the vineyards, the villages of Siebeneich and Schwabbach, into the Brettach Valley and up to the Waldenburg Mountains, the Mainhardt Forest and the Löwenstein Mountains is heavenly. Anyone looking into this lovely landscape can say with Eduard Mörike about Hohenlohe: "Idyllic, full of poetry, a particularly tenderly shaped handful of Germany".
