Am Andelsbach entlang

An entertaining and easy circular cycle tour along the Andelsbach stream, but not suitable for racing bikes.

The cycle tour "along the Andelsbach stream", starting from Pfullendorf, covers 27 kilometers and is also suitable for cycling beginners, even if it does climb a little from the starting point. After passing Pfullendorf's landmark, the Obertor, the first hurdle has already been overcome. (Here, by the way, you can easily watch a virtual tour of the historic tower, guided by the robber's bag bearer Max Elsässer, on the newly installed signs via QR code). However, the route can also be started in the opposite direction towards Andelsbach (as suggested by the tourist information office), which is up to you. In our version, however, we continued past the cemetery and the brightly painted Sonnenschein family center, heading towards Brunnhausen. This is followed by an idyllic ride via Kalkreute and Magenbuch to Lausheim.

Lausheim pond and chapel from the 13th century

On arrival in the inconspicuous, agricultural village of Lausheim, you are rewarded with a view of the Lausheim pond and a small chapel dating back to the 13th century. The chapel impresses with its Romanesque building. The Lausheim pond is just a few meters away. You can just enjoy the view or cycle across the meadow towards the pond. In general, the cycle path shines with its beautiful natural surroundings, but is not necessarily suitable for racing bikes due to the high proportion of fine gravel. A variety of fields, some of which are dotted with beautiful poppies and forests, are sure to make your heart beat faster. You cycle back towards Pfullendorf via Hausen and Zell. Shortly before your destination is the popular pilgrimage church of Maria Schray, which is definitely worth a short stop.

All in all, the cycle tour very cleverly combines nature with awe-inspiring buildings around Pfullendorf and is definitely recommended! However, those who prefer to travel at high speed on a road bike should look for an alternative.</p
